FAQ
Legality
How is this legal?
Danish law allows the sale of cannabis products as long as the THC content is below 0.2%, and the products do not contain HHC, HHC-P, THC-P, or H4CBD.
All our products comply with these limits and are therefore 100% legal under Danish law.
What should I do if I am stopped by the police?
The products we sell are 100% legal. However, the police cannot distinguish between our products and illegal cannabis products. Based on our customers’ experience, they usually take no further action as long as the products remain in their original packaging.
If they do choose to confiscate the products, it’s important that you request a lab test of the products and a receipt for the confiscation. After testing, any charges will be dropped, as our products, as mentioned, are 100% legal under Danish law.
Contact us if you have further questions. We’re happy to assist.
Can your products be smoked?
Danish law does not allow the sale of cannabis products for consumption. Our products are souvenirs, marketed and sold as collector’s items. They are delivered in sealed packaging, which must not be broken.
Our products are only legal to sell, buy, and possess, and we neither encourage nor recommend smoking or consuming our products.
We disclaim any responsibility for how you choose to use our products.
What is industrial hemp?
Industrial hemp is the legal term for cannabis grown with a THC content below 0.2%. It is legal to cultivate and trade in many jurisdictions due to its low THC content, even though it is still a variety of cannabis.
Our industrial hemp is grown under controlled conditions, and all products undergo extensive lab testing to ensure quality and safety.
Cannabinoids
What is THCA?
THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in raw, unheated cannabis. It is the precursor to THC and is present in the plant in its unprocessed state.
How is THCA formed?
THCA develops in the cannabis plant as it grows. It represents the natural, unaltered form of THC before undergoing any change caused by heat or processing.
Why is THCA relevant?
THCA is a fundamental part of the cannabis plant’s natural composition. In its raw form, it is often used in lab testing to evaluate cannabinoid profiles in cannabis products.
Is THCA legal?
Yes, THCA is legal in Europe as long as the final product remains below the 0.2% THC limit defined by law. All our THCA-enhanced products meet this requirement and are thoroughly tested to ensure legal compliance.
How does THCA fit into Weedshop’s selection?
We use natural THCA isolate, carefully extracted and included in select products in its raw form. All our items are sold as sealed collector’s pieces and remain 100% legal under Danish law.a
What is THC?
THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It is a central part of the plant’s cannabinoid profile and is used for the legal classification of cannabis products.
How is THC measured?
THC levels are measured by independent lab analysis, which determines whether a product meets the legal limit. In Denmark, THC content must be below 0.2% for a product to be sold legally.
Is THC legal?
Only in very limited amounts. In Denmark, cannabis products are legal only if their THC content is below 0.2%. Anything above this limit is considered illegal and subject to stricter regulations.
Is THC present in Weedshop’s products?
Yes — within legal limits. All our products are lab-certified to ensure that the THC content does not exceed 0.2%, fully complying with Danish law.
What is CBD?
CBD stands for cannabidiol, a naturally occurring cannabinoid in the cannabis plant. It is one of over 100 identified cannabinoids and is known for its unique role in the plant’s composition.
How was CBD discovered?
CBD was discovered in 1940 by Dr. Roger Adams and his team at the University of Illinois. This discovery paved the way for further research into the structure and complexity of the cannabis plant.
How is CBD different from other cannabinoids?
CBD is a unique cannabinoid that differs from THC because it is non-psychoactive — meaning it does not produce the “high” associated with THC.
How can I use CBD?
CBD is extremely versatile and can be used in a wide range of products, including topical creams, oils, and capsules. At Weedshop, you will also find CBD hash and CBD skunk.
Is CBD legal?
Yes, CBD is legal under Danish law as long as the THC content of the products remains below 0.2%.
What does the future hold for CBD?
Researchers are still uncovering the many fascinating properties of CBD and its role in the cannabis plant. The growing interest and ongoing research open new possibilities, making it exciting to follow CBD’s future.
How does CBD fit into Weedshop’s selection?
At Weedshop, we see great value in CBD as an essential part of our range. We are committed to offering a broad selection of CBD products, carefully chosen for their quality and purity. We are proud to offer these products to our customers and recognize CBD’s unique place in the cannabis plant world.
What is CBN?
CBN (cannabinol) is one of the many naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. It is particularly notable as a byproduct of THC, forming over time as THC is exposed to air and light.
How is CBN formed?
CBN arises through the oxidation and breakdown of THC. This process occurs naturally, so CBN is often found in older cannabis plant material.
Why is CBN relevant?
Although not as well-known as THC or CBD, CBN is receiving increasing attention in research circles. As part of the plant’s complex cannabinoid profile, CBN is often analyzed in lab tests to better understand product composition.
Is CBN legal?
Yes, CBN is legal in Denmark as long as the product complies with current regulations, including the 0.2% THC limit. Any products of ours that may contain CBN are independently tested to ensure legal compliance.
How does CBN fit into Weedshop’s selection?
CBN may be present in small amounts in some of our souvenir products, especially those carefully processed and preserved. All items are sold as sealed collector’s products and meet all Danish legal requirements.
What is CBD Oil?
CBD oil is a product made by combining cannabidiol (CBD) — a naturally occurring cannabinoid in the cannabis plant — with a carrier oil such as hemp seed oil or MCT oil. It is one of the most recognized and widespread forms of CBD.
How is CBD oil produced?
CBD is extracted from industrial hemp grown with a THC content below 0.2%, in compliance with Danish law. The extract is then blended with a carrier oil to create the finished product. Every step is closely monitored to ensure high quality and legal compliance.
Why is CBD oil relevant?
CBD oil is valued for its versatility. It is used in various legal product types and is often lab-tested for purity, cannabinoid content, and compliance with regulations. It plays a central role in the growing hemp-based product market.
Is CBD oil legal?
Yes, CBD oil is legal in Denmark as long as it is made from approved industrial hemp varieties and contains less than 0.2% THC. All CBD oil products must be lab-tested and meet all applicable rules and guidelines.
How does CBD oil fit into Weedshop’s selection?
At Weedshop.eu, we offer CBD oil as a collector’s item. It comes in sealed, tamper-proof packaging and is sold strictly in compliance with Danish law. Every batch is independently tested to meet the highest standards of quality and legality.
What are Terpenes?
Terpenes are naturally occurring aromatic compounds found in many plants, including cannabis. They are responsible for the distinctive scents and aromas of different cannabis strains, such as citrus, pine, earthy, or floral notes.
Where do terpenes come from?
Terpenes are produced in the trichomes of the cannabis plant — the same glands that create cannabinoids like CBD and THC. They are part of the plant’s natural defense system and serve multiple functions in nature, including attracting pollinators and deterring pests.
Why are terpenes relevant?
Beyond contributing aroma and scent, terpenes are often used in lab testing to profile and categorize different cannabis varieties. They play an important role in defining the character and identity of each product.
Are terpenes legal?
Yes, terpenes are fully legal. They are not classified as controlled substances and are widely used in industries like cosmetics, food flavoring, and aromatherapy. In cannabis products, they are legal as long as the product itself complies with applicable THC regulations.
How do terpenes fit into Weedshop’s selection?
At Weedshop, we emphasize the aromatic profiles of our products, many of which are naturally rich in diverse terpene profiles. All products are sealed and sold as collector’s items — in full compliance with Danish law.
What are Hemp Seed Oil and MCT Oil?
Hemp seed oil and MCT oil are two high-quality, plant-based oils commonly used as carrier oils in cannabis-related products. While they serve similar purposes, they come from different sources and have unique properties.
Hemp Seed Oil
Hemp seed oil is extracted by cold-pressing the seeds of the industrial hemp plant. It contains no cannabinoids like THC or CBD and is valued for its natural origin and mild aroma.
At Weedshop, hemp seed oil may be included in select souvenirs to provide a smooth, natural base while ensuring full compliance with Danish law.
MCT Oil
MCT oil (Medium-Chain Triglyceride oil) typically comes from coconut or palm kernel oil. It is prized for its neutral taste, clarity, and long shelf life, making it a popular carrier oil in various legal wellness products.
At Weedshop, MCT oil may also be used in our CBD souvenir products, which are always lab-tested and securely packaged in accordance with legal requirements.
Why use carrier oils?
Carrier oils like hemp seed oil and MCT oil are essential in formulating plant extract-based products. They help provide a stable, consistent quality while ensuring the final product remains legal and easy to handle.
